Terms of sale

The rules that apply when you buy from this desk.

These clauses govern every enquiry, quote, invoice and shipment between you and the company named at the foot of this page. They are written to be read once, in order, and they are the terms we will actually apply — not a wall of text we hope you skip.

Read this first

This website is a showcase for leather goods. There is no basket, no checkout and no card field anywhere on it. A sale only exists once we have written to you confirming the piece, the price and the lead time, and you have accepted that confirmation. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms removes a statutory right you have in your own country.

Clauses

  1. Acceptance of these terms

By sending an enquiry, accepting a written quote or paying an invoice issued by us, you agree to these terms. If you buy for a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business. If you do not accept a clause, say so in writing before you pay and we will either agree a variation in writing or decline the order.

  2. What this site is, and what it is not

This site is an enquiry showcase. Prices, stock levels and lead times shown here are indicative and are not a binding offer. No card details are collected, stored or processed on these pages, and we will never ask for a card number, a CVV code or a bank password by email or WhatsApp. Any message that does is not from us.

  3. Quotes, confirmation and when a contract is formed

A contract is formed only when we issue a written confirmation or a formal invoice for the specific pieces and quantities, and you accept it by paying or by replying in writing. Until that moment either side may walk away, and we may decline an order where a hide lot has sold out, a colour has been discontinued, or a price was listed in error. The written confirmation overrides anything said on a call or shown on this site.

  4. Prices, currency and validity

All prices are quoted in United States dollars (USD) and are exclusive of shipping, insurance and import duties unless we state otherwise in writing. A quote is valid for fourteen days because tannery hide prices move with the season; after that we may re-quote. Where a quote and an invoice disagree, the invoice you accepted governs. Bank charges, currency conversion costs and intermediary fees are your responsibility.

  5. Payment

We accept payment by bank transfer to the account named on the invoice, and by other methods only where we confirm them in writing. Production starts when cleared funds are received, not when a transfer is initiated. For trade orders we may agree a deposit and balance in writing; if a balance is overdue we may hold shipment and charge reasonable storage after thirty days. We do not accept cash by post.

  6. Lead times and packing

Standard pieces are packed within three working days of cleared payment. A monogrammed piece adds two to three working days because the stamp is cut, set and proofed by hand, and we send you the proof before stamping. Made-to-order shapes and non-standard strap lengths take longer and are quoted individually. Lead times are estimates given in good faith; they are not a guaranteed delivery date unless we say so in writing.

  7. Shipping, delivery and transfer of risk

Goods ship from Hong Kong by tracked courier. Risk passes to you when the carrier delivers the parcel to the address on the invoice, or when the carrier records a failed delivery attempt because nobody was available. Title passes when we have received payment in full. Transit times published by the courier are their estimate, not ours, and delays at customs are outside our control. Keep the carton until you have checked the piece inside it.

  8. Import duties, taxes and customs clearance

Duties, value-added tax, goods and services tax, customs brokerage and clearance fees are payable by you, and we do not estimate them. We declare goods at the price actually paid; we will not under-declare a value or mark a parcel as a gift. If you refuse a parcel or fail to clear it, we treat it as a cancelled order and apply clause 9. Delivery on a DDP basis is available only where we agree it in writing.

  9. Returns, repairs and refunds

Returns, repairs and refunds are governed by our returns policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: fourteen days from delivery for change of mind on unused goods, two years for a failed seam or broken hardware, monogrammed pieces not returnable unless the stamp is wrong, and refunds within ten working days to the original payment method. That page explains what counts as character rather than a defect.

  10. Hides, measurements and reasonable variation

Leather is an animal product. Grain, scars, vein lines and shade vary between hides and between panels of the same hide, and vegetable-tanned cowhide darkens with use. Dimensions are given to a tolerance of about one centimetre, and weight to about fifty grams. These variations are not defects. Photographs on this site are of representative pieces from the same lot, not necessarily the exact piece you will receive, unless we say otherwise.

  11. Intellectual property

The text, photography, illustrations, product names, logos and page design on this site belong to us or are licensed to us. You may read, print and share a page for your own purchasing decision. You may not copy our photography or text into a shop, marketplace listing, catalogue or advertising without written permission, and you may not use our name in a way that suggests an endorsement, partnership or distributorship that does not exist.

  12. Acceptable use of this site

Do not attempt to break, overload or probe the site, scrape it at a rate that affects other visitors, inject code, or use the enquiry form to send spam, malware or unlawful material. Do not impersonate another person or company. We may block an address or refuse an enquiry where we see abuse, and we keep the logs described in our privacy notice for that purpose.

  13. Third-party links and services

We link to couriers, WhatsApp and occasionally to a tannery or a trade body. Those services are run by other companies under their own terms and privacy policies. We do not control them and are not responsible for their content, availability or how they handle your data. A link is not an endorsement, and clicking one takes you outside our responsibility.

  14. Liability

We do not exclude liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything else the law does not allow us to exclude. Otherwise our total liability for any order is capped at the amount you paid us for that order. We are not liable for lost profit, lost business, lost goodwill or indirect loss. Where goods are faulty we will repair, replace or refund as described in the returns policy, and that is the limit of our obligation.

  15. Force majeure

We are not in breach if a delay or failure is caused by something outside our reasonable control, including typhoon or black rainstorm warnings in Hong Kong, port or airport closure, courier strike, customs action, epidemic control measures, war, or a tannery's failure to supply a hide lot. We will tell you promptly and, if the delay lasts more than sixty days, either side may cancel the affected part of the order and we will refund what you paid for goods not yet shipped.

  16. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms and any dispute arising out of them are governed by the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The courts of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region have exclusive jurisdiction, and both sides submit to it. Nothing here prevents a consumer from bringing a claim in the courts of the country where the consumer lives, where the law gives that right and it cannot be waived.

  17. Variation of these terms

We may update these terms for future orders; the version in force is the one published when you accept a quote, and the date at the foot of this page tells you which that is. We do not change the terms of an order already confirmed without your written agreement. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the new version for any later enquiry.

  18. Severability

If a clause is found invalid, unlawful or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that clause is treated as removed and the rest of these terms stay in full force. Where a clause is capable of being read narrowly to make it valid, it will be read that way rather than struck out. The failure to enforce a clause once is not a waiver of it.

  19. Contact and notices

Formal notices must be in writing to HUIXINDA1@outlook.com or to our registered office at ROOM 10D R1, 10/F, KIN GAIN INDUSTRIAL BUILDING, 9 SAN ON STREET, TUEN MUN, HONG KONG. An email is treated as received on the next working day in Hong Kong. For anything urgent about a live shipment, message +852 96606754 on WhatsApp and then confirm it by email so the record is complete.

Plain-language summary

No card on this site. You write, we confirm in writing, you accept, we invoice, we pack in three working days — plus two to three days if there is a monogram. Prices are in USD. Duties are yours. Fourteen days to change your mind on unused goods; two years on a failed seam. Hong Kong law and Hong Kong courts apply. This summary is for orientation only; the numbered clauses above are the binding text.
